Dr. Eslami is a sleeve god! He’s the best hands down! Super Professional and honest which is important. I wanted to rush my surgery but he was like nope and made me drop more weight. At first, I didn’t understand but now I know it was so he can perform safely. I had my surgery on 7/18/18 and everything was fine, no complications nothing. His office staff is also great. This is, by far, the hardest lifestyle change I have experienced. I had the Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass. In 18 months, I have lost 112 lbs, no more high blood pressure, GERD, and my thryoid is normal. Meds have pretty much gone by the wayside. Exercise, such as walking up and down stairs are so easy. No more loss of breath. I have experienced a reaction to the protein powders, so I have to rely on my diet to ensure my protein levels. After almost 20 years of yo-yo dieting, I would lose up to 80 pounds at a time to only gain most of it back, my doctor recommended that I get off the yo-yo track once and for all and introduced me to Dr. Eslami and his team. My highest weight ever was 260 and at the time of my gastric sleeve surgery in January 2013, I was 230 pounds, a weight I was stuck at for almost 2 years despite dieting and exercise.

Eight months later and over 50 pounds lighter, I feel like a new woman. I have the freedom to eat what I want, within the healthy sleeve limitations. I have so much energy and am thrilled that while I’m still around 20 pounds from my ultimate goal, I’m fitting into clothes that I haven’t worn for years.

Hi my name is Robyn. I would like to thank Dr. Eslami and his staff for giving me my life back. I had my surgery in March 2011 with a starting weight of 322 pounds. Since my surgery I have lost over 150 pounds. Having Gastric Bypass Surgery was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I tell people that I have two birthdays my original birthday and now my surgery date too. My life has started over and I can not wait for what the future has in store for me. Dr. Eslami is awesome and his staff is wonderful.

Before I came to Dr. Eslami I was diabetic, taking insulin and oral medication. I was also taking medication for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I had “The Sleeve” done in November 2012. It has been 10 months and I have lost 94 lbs. My starting weight was 324. I was basically miserable. Not being able to walk across the room without being out of breath. I lost my right leg in 2007 due to Diabetes and knew I had to change. Since the surgery, I have only needed 1 shot of insulin and before I was on an insulin pump 24/7. Blood pressure meds have been cut in half as well as others.

I can do things now that I haven’t done in years… I enjoy life and my family again.

Prior to gastric bypass surgery on 1/6/2011, I weighed 362 pounds. I was a size 28W and dropped to a size 12 and weighed in at 179 pounds. When I was asked what my goal weight was, I simply stated, “I wanna cross my legs and get on a roller coaster!” Not only have I went to Disneyland, Six Flags, Las Vegas, & Mexico, but I’ve gone horse back riding on the beach, jet skiing in the lakes, and 3 wheeling on the sand. I had Gastric Sleeve surgery on 7/31/2013, since then I have lost almost all my goal weight. I have lost 60lbs and still counting, which is so exciting. Before my surgery, I was diabetic and dealing with other new onset health conditions. Since my surgery, I am no longer diabetic and my other health conditions have disappeared. As I sit here writing this testimonial I recall that a year ago today I was prepping for my gastric bypass surgery. My last and what I felt was a desperate act to reclaim my life for my children, my husband and most of all myself. I struggled for years to lose weight and live a healthy life. At the age of 39 and a height of 5’8″, I tipped the scales at 289 pounds. I used to joke that I weighed more than the heavy weight champion of the world and most NFL linebackers. But in reality I wasn’t laughing. Everyday I tried and everyday I failed to get my eating under control. It was a battle I couldn’t win.

The day that I walked into Dr. Eslami’s office was the day that my new life began. I made the connection, now I had to do the work. After classes, Dr. appointments, therapy and relearning how to eat I was ready for my surgery, totally informed and yet totally scared. Little did I know that this “desperate” act was the best decision that I ever made.

Today, exactly one year later, I weigh 165 pounds; that is 124 pounds down from my highest weight. I am no longer depressed, I am not on any prescribed meds and I am happier and healthier than I have ever been in my life. I exercise daily, eat sensibly and remember where I was and how I could be there again if I am not mindful and consistent in my new habits. The surgery is a tool, it is in no was an “easy fix”. I work hard to take care of this gift. I am running races and preparing for things that I never thought possible and loving every minute.

In one year, I lost 100lbs. In July, 2012, I had gastric bypass after years of unsuccessful dieting. I feel like I did 20 years ago. I can go bike riding, take long hikes, jump rope, and best of all, I can play all day with my young daughter. Thank you Dr. Eslami and staff.

In April 2012, I had Roux-eny Gastric Bypass surgery. Before I had my surgery I was unable to walk without the aid of a walker due to a crushed hip. I wasn’t eligible for hip surgery because I had diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholestrol, and my weight was too high. After surgery, I no longer take any medication for the above ailments and was able to have hip surgery. I have never felt better in my life! I am in clothes sizes I have never been before and feel like a new person!

I had Gastric Bypass in September of 2013 and In 6 short months I have regained my life back. I started at 263 pounds and as of today I am at 173 pounds so in a short 6 months I have lost 90 pounds, I have lost 12 pant sizes I started at a 22/24 and I am now in a size 10 not only have I regained my life for myself and my family. I have regained my health to be there for my family and watch my children grow. I know this sounds cliche, but Dr. Eslami had not only given me my life back but given me a whole new life. I’m healthier and more active than I’ve been in the past 20 – 25 years. I think I was in junior high school the last time my waist was this size. It’s exciting to be able to buy clothes off the rack and not have to pay a premium for the plus sizes and be able to find stylish clothes that fit and not having to accept things that fit. I have more confidence now which has helped me in my professional life. Instead of going quietly to the back of the room, I’m more outgoing and approachable. Before I had the my Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass surgery in April 2011 I weighed 242.4 pounds. I had high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and all the aches and pains that go along with carrying all that extra weight around. I had a hard time walking even short distances. Now since I lost 113 pounds I am not taking blood pressue medication, no longer have sleep apnea and can walk up six flights of stairs without getting winded. Bariatric surgery has changed my life. I love my new look and all the energy that I have. I feel like a new woman. This was the best thing I ever did for myself.
